“Bad Penny” continues its run of brilliant festivals this summer, landing in Norfolk for the BBC Norfolk Music Video Festival 2010, running from 28 June until 10 July. It’s the only Music Video Festival of its kind in the country and supported by Radio 1. This year the Festival links up with BBC Introducing programmes around the UK to bring you the very best videos from new and emerging acts.

“Bad Penny”, the video for punk vaudeville band Jarmean? directed by yours truly, has just been nominated for the 2010 Music Video Award, Rushes Soho Shorts. Screening alongside Faithless, Gorrilaz, Tom Waits and Laura Marling at the ICA on Friday 23 and Sunday 25 July. That’s two years in a row for me, following last year’s nomination for “Chalk”!
Recently named ‘Best of MySpace’ by NME radio’s Gill Mills, this Whitechapel set have been building a loyal following of cockney rap aficionados. The video features burlesque artiste Ophelia Bitz in the role of ‘Penny’, actor Kathryn Ritchie as the beggar girl and Lola, the dog!
The video has also been featured as an exclusive on MUZU, showcased on RADAR MUSIC VIDEO and enjoyed its moment of glory in industry bible PROMO NEWS.
