Originally trained in Fine Art, Alex studied English and Philosophy at university, later gaining an acting diploma from Central School of Speech & Drama.
Her shorts films include “The Morning After” a black comedy which recently screened at the London Short Film Festival and FilmFest Dresden and “How Not to Say I Love You” which was widely screened across Europe. Psychological thriller “Blink” was selected as a finalist of the international competition Teaserland, broadcast on CANAL+ and showcased at cinemas across Spain.
Her promo “Bad Penny” has been nominated for the 2010 Rushes Music Video Award, following up on a nomination for “Chalk” in 2009. Her music videos have been showcased at Raindance, the BBC Norfolk Music Video Festival, Radar Music Video, Muzu.tv and Promo News to name but a few.
Alex’s commercial credits include a promotional trailer for the BornShorts International Film Festival “The Budding Director” shot on 35mm film at Pinewood Studios and an ad for the ICA as part of the HYPtv 24hr Ad Challenge, in association with M&C Saatchi. She is currently developing her first feature, set in London and France, where she spent her childhood.
